About Sussex Montessori School
Sussex Montessori School is the result of the vision and dedication of the Montessori Works Board. The board began developing the concept in 2014 with support from a Longwood Foundation grant. In 2018, the Sussex Montessori School Board was officially formed, and a charter was submitted to the Delaware Department of Education. The school opened its doors in the fall of 2020 on the historic Tull Farm property in Seaford, Delaware, and was reauthorized by the DDOE in July 2024.
Sussex Montessori School offers a tuition-free public Montessori education for students aged 5-12 (Kindergarten through Grade 6). Open to all Delaware residents, the school primarily serves families in Sussex County.
